Dear Parent(s)/Guardians:

Carnegie Public Schools is pleased to offer Archery as an extracurricular activity at CMS once again this year.

A new rule put in place by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for the 2024-2025 Archery Season will require any student participating in Archery to have completed the ODWC Hunters Safety Course. Each student will be required to provide their Hunters Education Course Certification number and ODWC customer ID number to enroll in the CMS Archery Program this year. The new requirement can be completed free of charge online by visiting https://www.wildlifedepartment.com/education/hunter-ed/online-hunter-ed. Students interested in participating in Archery this year must register and complete the Oklahoma Hunters Safety Course by November 22, 2024.

Additional information, enrollment paperwork, and a permission form will be sent via Parent-Square for participation in the CMS Archery Program soon. Please work now to complete the Hunters Education Course online as you will need your Hunter's Education Certificate Number and ODWC Customer ID to complete the required forms prior to participating the Archery Program this year.
